OUR AFFILIATES
In our efforts to protect our neighborhoods, CSFN has formed alliances with other groups and individuals who have been invaluable in helping us obtain the resources and information that has helped us in our efforts to inform the public about the issues we care about. The world and the city we all love is at risk of changing in ways that concern us all. We cannot do it all, but, by joining other groups our efforts have paid off.
CSFN is changing with the times and the urgency that is now required in this fast-paced world. The 6 months of discussion and amendments we were accustomed to when we worked with the Planning Department has been reduced down to a couple of committee meetings and a fast pass by the Board of Supervisors. Our state representatives have removed most of our right to be involved in planning for the development of our future.
For this reason, activists must work a lot harder and we need a lot more people on our side to change the tide that is sweeping us aside. In order to pick up the pace, CSFN encourages people to meet and work with other activists who are aligned on state and local issues. We are grateful for their time and dedication researching, writing letters and position papers, and engaging directly with political leaders. As we look back at our successes, and forward to the next round of battles, we hope to work with our affiliates to keep the momentum going.
Please share these resources and actions with your groups. Meet people who are working on the issues you are concerned about. The most important people are our neighbors. The more we can help them and encourage them to act, the more likely we are to be effective leaders.
These are some of the groups many of our members work with. We will be adding more soon. Links to neighborhood events are listed on our events page and we encourage you to attend as many as you can. Send us your events to be included if you like: https://csfn.net/csfn-events
